Director, Screenplay, Producer: Virgil Widrich

Born in Salzburg, Austria in 1967. Began his film career at the age of 12, directing and producing Super-8 films, including »Auch Farbe kann traeumen« (Animated, 1981), »Monster in Salzburg« (Insect Monster film, 1982), and a full length feature film, »Vom Geist der Zeit« (Action/Adventure, 113 min., 1983-85).

After a short stint at the Vienna Film Academy (Wiener Filmakademie) in 1987, he started up his own company called »Classic Films« which existed until 1991. In 1998, he produced the short film »tx-transform« together with Martin Reinhart (supported by BKA/Kunstsektion, Stadt Wien, Stadt Salzburg, Land Salzburg). 1999: Screenplay (together with Enrico Jakob), production and direction of »Heller als der Mond«/»Brighter than the Moon«.

Screenplay, Assistant Director: Enrico Jakob

Born in Graz, Austria in 1961. Studied classical guitar, Music, Philosophy, Sociology and Media. Educated in acting, dancing and singing. Acted in various theater productions in Austria. Further studies include film acting, directing theater productions and screenplays. Studied under Salem Ludwig, Susan Batson, Earl Hyman, Rae Allen in New York (H. B. Studio), Tom Schlesinger, Keith Cunningham, Paul Guilino, Don Bohlinger in Los Angeles, Munich and Vienna, among others. Worked on screenplays of various genres, including Action/Crime, comedy, and drama television series. (»Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei«, »Der Clown«, »Cops 2000 – Hart am Limit«)

Born in Vienna in 1967. Assistant editor for commercials and documentary films as well as press, sport and commercial photography. Lighting technician for several commercial spots and films including »Der Nachbar« and »Dieses naive Verlangen« (Director: Goetz Spielmann), »Auf immer und ewig«, »Ein Lied fuer Angelika«, »Schnellschuss« (Director: Thomas Roth), »Venedig« (Director: Tobias Urban) and »Carla«. Director for short, experimental and commercials. Cameraman for documentary and short films, commercials and reports. Camera for the film »Wolken ueber den Paradies« by Bernhard Semmelrock, 1998, 90 min., 35 mm, color.

 

 

Production Manager: Gabriele Kranzelbinder

Born in Klagenfurt, Austria in 1968. Studied law in Vienna and Paris. Involved as organiser of film, theater and art projects since 1994. Involved in film distribution and worked on several film productions in Austria and Italy (including »Die Schuld der Liebe«, Director: Andreas Gruber, »Kubanisch Rauchen«, Director: Stephan Wagner, »Aria Amara«, Director: Alessandro Piva, »Ein fluechtiger Zug nach dem Orient«, Director: Ruth Beckermann, »L and R«, Director: Edgar Honetschlaeger, »Thanksgiving«, Director: Michael Pfeifenberger). Founding of the film production company »Framework« and management of Kinova – Festival of European films in Wels. She works as an independent production manager and producer in Vienna.

 

 

Art Director: Hannes Salat

Born in Vienna in 1969. Fashion School in Hetzendorf, Designer and creator of light objects and visual creations for diverse events. Worked with art directors Andreas Donhauser and Renate Martin (Donmartin Supersets) as assistant and props for the films »Kino im Kopf«, (Director: Michael Glawogger), »Ein Leben lang backen wir Sandkuchen«, (Director: Walter Christen), »Beastie Girl«, (Director: Johannes Fabrik), the opera »Gloria« (by: H.K. Gruber) and various commercial and music videos (Coca Cola, Schlumberger, Koenig Pilsner, Illmatic).

 

 

Art Director: Alexandra Maringer

Born in Pinkafeld, Austria in 1973. Studied Architecture at the »Technische Universitaet«, Vienna. Video installations »Eroberung des Raumes«, installation and spontaneous direction at the Resslplatz in Vienna (together with Christoph Haas and Kuks Koschitz) – Video documentary »Stadmoebelmuellplatz«. Video clip and S-8 short film on the subject of »Imaginary Cairo«, graphic work (logos, signs, flyers) for the »fachschaft architekTUr« and light installations and co-creation of the catalogue »259.003 VU« (Institute for artistic creations). Co-operation at the Donmartin Supersets atelier, set design for »Ghormengast« (Irmin Schmidt) and »Le Grand Macabre«, commercials (Pietro Pizzi, Coca Cola), video clip of »Illmatic«. Co-work with art director Manuela Freigang in »Tatort«.
