No other archbishop has left his mark on both the city and province of Salzburg to the degree that Paris Lodron has done. Besides his work as a statesman, his outstanding achievements include the completion and furnishing of the new cathedral. Its consecration in 1628 was the most magnificent celebration Salzburg had ever seen. The famous copperplate engraving by Christoph Lederwasch showing the procession to the cathedral consecration is “brought to life” in a projection installation.
